  3. Chinese Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Chinese language, assessed through written and oral HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) exams, is essential. The specific language proficiency requirements vary based on the type of scholarship. For instance, applicants aiming to pursue academic courses in Chinese language and culture must attain a minimum score of 180 in written HSK3 and 60 in oral HSK.   4. Non-Chinese Nationality and Good Health: Applicants must not hold Chinese citizenship and must demonstrate good physical and mental health. Those planning to study for over six months must provide proof of their health condition to process their residence permit in China.   5. Academic Qualifications: Depending on the type of scholarship, applicants must hold certain academic qualifications. For the MTCSOL (Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) scholarship, applicants must provide their undergraduate diploma and academic transcripts.
